so, should she start burning up her house?!

i read bea's blog last night.(by the way, i didnt blog yesterday 'coz i was too lazy to do so).as i was saying, i read her blog and wow..she's still into *him*.it all started in grade 6.others said he had a crush on her.she didn't like him at first.but eventually, she had a crush on him too.but she found out that he really didn't like her.aww.but then, she found a way to communicate with him, through text.and like all love stories, she fell for him.awww.but that was what...3, 4 years ago?!.wow.i can't believe she still likes him.after all these years?!.she wants to forget him.duh!.if i was in her place, i would also do that.its been way too long.but, she's finding a hard time.i guess trying to forget someone is really hard especially if he/she's your first.and the more you try to forget, the harder it is.aww.so, should she burn up her house?!.read her blog and find out why.=).

first day in college

not me.im only an incoming junior.=).it's nard.talked to him last night and i was able to ask him how it went.he's such a dork.first day of school in college and he wasn't at all excited.i mean, it's a fresh new start and he didn't feel any excitement?!.he even went to school later than usual.and he felt guilty as to why he didn't go to school earlier.not because he wanted to meet new friends or whatsoever but because he wasn't able to see iya villania.he told me that his blockmates saw iya and she was super-duper-ultra-mega beautiful.(duh! isn't it obvious?!).he wanted to see iya daw.haha.whatever.it was his fault naman eh.haha.=).he told me he's going to wake up earlier today.i wonder if he really did.hihi.=).oh yeah, he was also too lazy to do his homework yesterday.i told him there's really nothing new with that.after all he is leonard, what do i expect?!.haha.he got a little pissed off and told me im so yabang and that maybe someday i'll eat up my words 'coz he'll graduate as.."suma kumlawde".haha.he doesn't even know how to spell summa cumlaude.=).peace!.=).by the way, he doesn't like most of his blockmates daw.=/.actually, before school started, he told me he was worried of not having any best friend.awww.but i'm pretty sure he'll find one.=).

pinoy pride

i was watching myx presents:Billy Crawford awhile ago.when he was aksed about the Philippines and what he would say when people (foreigners) would ask him about our country.he said that he wasn't at all good at philippine history but would always say: "it was discovered by magellan pare!! you know, lapu-lapu killed him!".it was funny when he said that.haha.=).made me laugh.=).he was always proud to be a filipino.and i do admire him for that.wouldn't it be nice if we all loved our country and be proud of it?!.

also, i read a column on The Philippine Daily Inquirer last sunday.an american wrote it.here's some excerpt of what he wrote:

Yankee in a daze over RP
James J. Hevener

It never occured to me that my recent trip to the Philippines would be exciting...

It was my first trip to the country and i was very excited. After my Philippine sojourn, I can say I was thrilled more than ever, even writing this article because the trip was certainly something money cannit buy.It was worth all the time and the effort...

I wish I had more time in my hand because the places were just wonderful.I had to capture everything in my 35 mm camera because the sights were breath taking.I couldn't afford to let go of them without storing them concretely.

The Banaue Rice Terraces were simply amazing. No wonder, it is considered the eighth wonder of the world.I could not imagine how they were built with human hands.Maybe that was what made them very sturdy. They looked like they were made by the greatest master.Uniquely wonderful...from every angle.

I was particularyly very ahppy with the photos of the hills around Sabayan, near Carmen and the world-famous Chocolate Hills. And the sights of Sagada were just marvelous.I got first-hand information of the so-called hanging coffins. They were hanging all right and had lasted for centuries.

Now, I continue to ponder why more Americans don't visit the Philippines. In fact, the trip was so exciting I am going to start a website to encourage Americans to see the Philippines...

And the Filipinos? That is another beautiful story...the hospitality, their sincerity in dealing with foreigners, their unusually beautiful and close relationships...I was at the right place all the time...

I am sure my recent trip to the Philippines would not be my last.Hope to comr back with friends from America.

**note: I edited this one. There are some missing paragraphs or sentences. This is just an excerpt from The Philippine Daily Inquirer dated Sunday, May 25, 2005.Page J1.

when will we appreciate our own country?!.shame on us.foreigners even love the Philippines more than we, Filipinos, love our country.this is a sad reality.why do we have to wait for other people to love the Philipiines before we can love it?!.sometimes, i think that kawawa naman ang Pilipinas, sariling mga anak niya, hindi siya mahal. Our country is just like our mother.and it is waiting to be loved.=).
