to resign or not? what's your stand?

The country is going through an economic crisis and it's all because of the Gloria thing. As you have known, right now, a lot of people have been asking for Arroyo's resignation. A lot of people have been drawing out their support from the administration, including the Liberal Party. Even Cory Aquino asked her to resign. Now, should she really resign or not? Personally, I'm caught in the middle. Both has its own advantages and disadvantages. First, GMA should resign because no one seems to like the way she governs the country. Second,the economy is sinking lower and lower because everyone wants her to resign. The businessmen is also asking for her resignation. Third, she has admitted she called a comelec official when it was still in the midst of the electoral process. Although she said it was just a lapse in judgement, she should have known better. She's more responsible than that. I admire her guts to apologize to her countrymen though. But still, is the word sorry acceptable in this kind of situation? Her resignation will save the country, or so they say. Anyway, is there still a reason why she shouldn't resign? Believe it or not, there is. For one, if she resigns, who will take her position? I don't think Vice President Noli de Castro is ready to become a president. I don't think Susan Roces can lead a country. I think she'll make the country's economy worse than ever. No offense but she knows nothing about politics. But then again, we have never seen her lead, MAYBE she's good and she has the ability to become a leader. BUT I DOUBT IT 100%. Take your pick, the news anchor-vice president or the actress-leading lady? I'm NOT saying that they are not good people. Of course they are. We have seen them help a lot of people. But, being a president is no joke. It requires a lot of things which I don't see in them nor in any of the aspiring presidents. I pity the Philippines for having such people.
